It was a nice Sunday morning and a good time to take a cruise to a car show. I sent out a couple of emails to see who might be interested in making the car show in Georgetown. I stated that anyone of the Donut Gang that wanted to make the cruise, met at Denny’s Dinner at 620 and 183 and we would leave at 10:00 AM. The car show was FREE and planned from 11 to 3.

When I arrived at the dinner, I met up with Dan Brinkman in his black 1958 Chevy hardtop Impala. I also met with Richard (a hot rod buddy) from the Saturday night cruise in his red T-Bucket. After breakfast the three of us headed north on 183 to highway 29.  We turned right and headed east for the Antique Mall at Copper Ridge on Highway 29. When we arrived there were already about 30 cars in the parking lot. They were expecting about 65 from the planners at this event. We were able to find some shade with the help of one of the business owners Ronnie Prado. He said we could park next to his fine red-hot 1969 Camero.

Shortly after we arrived Donut Gang member Ozzie showed up in this 1936 black Ford sedan, followed by Tom Porter in his red 1956 vet.  Ken McDonald also showed up, but without his fine 1934 Plymouth coupe. He was camping near by and must have sensed a car show was near.

Even though the weather was a little hot, we stayed cool with shade and sodas. Not a bad way to spend a Memorial Sunday afternoon.
