Donut Event Prez: Dan Brinkman

The car show at Luckenbach has doubled in size since last year with over 175 entries.

From the Donut Gang, it was a caravan of 4 cars that pulled out from the Garage Mahal around 9:00am, led by Tony in his "Fine Fifty-Eight", Jim and Phyllis Greene in the '38 Chevy coupe (with AC), Dan Brinkman in the "other" 58 Chevy and Helen and I in the Thunder Chicken...That's right, I said Helen. Will wonders never cease!

The Mickster showed up a little later in the "Satin Rod" and Robert & Teresa Courtney made the show but without the T-Bucket.

Now, just to put an ugly rumor to rest, yes, the Thunder Chicken did win 1st in Class, but that's not too hard when you're the only one in your class! If wasn't a plaque from Luckenbach, it would be in the trash already, but there is something cool about having a trophy from Luckenbach.

With such a nice turnout and a shady area, it's something we should maybe promote a little more next year, IF we can afford the fuel!
